The Louis Vuitton Men’s Spring-Summer 2024 collection—featured during 2023 Paris Fashion Week—was an inspiration. I’ve never been big on fashion shows, but this one most certainly moved me. Pharrell Williams, the new Men’s Creative Director of Louis Vuitton, put on a beautiful show where the musical arrangements invite you to walk with the models and imagine where they’re going and what they’re feeling. Prepare to be transported beyond the runway as the production opens with the mounting suspense of an espionage flick and closes with the divine sound of Voices of Fire–a gospel choir created by Pharrell’s uncle Bishop Ezekiel Williams. Throughout the journey, picture yourself walking in a train station, hoping to find the love of your life; imagine playing in the blurred space between autumn leaves and light snowfall; watch spring sunlight break through as you’re led into Jim Jones’ “Summer Collection,” nodding your head to the beat right before stepping into the finale…angelic voices singing “Joy.”
