Casa Barotti

Whenever I’m on College Ave. in Berkeley, I make sure to grab a couple slices of pizza from one of my favorite restaurants, Casa Barotti.  Casa Barotti opened in 2019 and was started by Daniele Carsano.  As the bay area’s first spizzicheria (meaning “little munches” or “casual bites” in Italian), Carsano, originally from Turin, aimed to bring a taste of Italy straight to the bay. Here you’ll find pizza, calzones, focaccia, arancini, and more.  I highly recommend their Margherita and San Daniele.  And if you’re lucky, you’ll have a chance to try one of their pizzas with charcoal crust. Mmmm. The best!
